Recall on Specialized Tarmac SL7 Bicycles and Framesets

The CPSC and Specialized now recall Specialized Tarmac SL7 Bicycles and Framesets.  The bicycle’s fork steering tube may fracture as the result of a severe jarring such as hitting a deep pothole and leading to the rider falling and sustaining an injury.  About 6900 of these bicycles were sold at Specialized Bicycle Components retailers nationwide.  If you have one of these bicycles, immediately stop riding it and contact Specialized by phone at 1-877-808-8154 f or via email at ridercare@specialized.com to arrange for a free inspection and repair.

The FDA and Ivar’s Soup and Sauce Company are recalling Ivar’s Kettle Classic Clam Chowder with Uncured Bacon.  This product may contain hard, sharp opaque foreign bodies that could lead to lacerations of the mouth, tongue, throat, esophagus, or airway.  This soup was sold by Costco stores in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.  If you bought this clam chowder, do not consume it.  Return it to the place of purchase for a refund.  For more information, contact Ivar’s by phone at 1-425-493-1402.
