The CPSC and Design Within Reach announce the recall of  Design Within Reach Arc Collection Furniture.  These include the Cafe Chairs, the Lounge Chairs, the Barstools, the Cafe tables, the Coffee tables, and the Bar tables.  The surface paint on all of the pieces in this collection fails to meet federal safety standards for lead.  Children exposed to these pieces are at risk for lead poisoning.  About 200 pieces of this furniture have been sold.  If you have one of them, immediately stop using it and contact Design Within Reach at 1-800-338-2107 or via email at recall_info@hermanmiller.com.

The CPSC and Meridian are recalling Meridian Ottomans.  The gold or silver metal band around the base has sharp edges that create a laceration hazard.  About 7,800 of these ottomans have been sold nationwide online at Wayfair, Amazon, and Hayneedle, and at 200 stores of their nationwide.  If you own one of these ottomans, immediately stop using and contact Meridian Furniture at 1-800-808-0015 or via email at MeridianRecalls@gmail.com to request a prepaid mailing package and shipping label to return the product.  In the alternative,  provide Meridian with photographic evidence that you have disposed of or destroyed of the product in order to receive a full refund.

Recalled Are Magnussen Nova Series 5-Drawer Chests

Recall on Dole Garden Salad Sold Under Various Brands

The FDA and Dole Fresh Vegetables now recall garden salads sold under the following brands: Dole, Marketside, Kroger, and Salad Classics with best if used by 10/25/21.  These salads are contaminated with listeria monocytogenes.  This bacterium causes serious and sometime fatal infections in the very young, elders, and those who are immunosuppressed.  Listeria also causes miscarriages and stillbirths.  These salads were sold in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.  If you have any of these salads, do not consume them but discard them and call the Dole Consumer Center at 1-800-356-3111 to arrange a refund.
